For what it is worth

I have always felt
that it is nature's law
to disturb the hermit lost in thought

God's own way to distract someone
who is about to peep into his ways

But when you try very hard all the time
and you succeed at least once
oh man! You are the man!

it is not that God does not want you to know
it is just that
he wants you to know what it is worth

you can’t just have things easily
for you will never know what it is worth

you dig thousand miles downward
and look all around
till you get a diamond

if diamonds were available for free
would you value it as much

but there is something else
that is there to it

once you have obtained the jewel
do not keep it to yourself

let it illuminate and enlighten others
for its real worth will be known
by the light it brings to others’ life

and you will shine in its glory
evident no doubt by the radiance on your face

your looks will reflect the cheers you brought
into the lives of the people you've never known

never mind what the fools around say
for they do not know
what it is worth to give to people you do not know

perhaps they will know

what it brings to help people so

but look around
you will see
flowers blown in your path before you tread

bask in the glory and sunlight
for they will be plenty
just like your good deeds

the world will remember those
who care not what they will get

but always care that they give plenty
to those who do not have

With the mind fixed on the Lord
they do not look at the sack

for they know it will be full
before they know

you want to see such people!
look around for those who smile while they are asleep

for they will always have peaceful sleep
as they are the reason for some one else's

to the hand that often gives
power always stays

and the sword held in such hand shines
not with blood but with Lord's blessings
for they raise sword to protect others
and not show their power

look around you
you know when you meet them

even before you see them
u feel them
and their divine person

a pleasure it is to see them and be near

like a fresh breeze fragrant
are their ways

look people are following someone in herd
it must be him
it must be him
it has to be him!!
